Free Thinking is Under Attack

The Archangels Discuss the Not-So-Hidden Agenda of Control

I know a lady who is trying to find work. She is in her sixties, and she was lamenting to me about how the work force, the job market, and various procedures attached to employment have changed and, to her way of thinking, for the worse. We’ve known each other all our lives, we’re about the same age, and we talked about how things have changed since we were young women just beginning our careers.
In the last century (God, that makes me sound old!), the things employers were looking for included being able to think outside of the box, strong problem-solving skills, problem analysis and troubleshooting, independence and self-motivation, and strong communication skills. This no longer seems to be the case.
It would seem that these days, the most important criteria for the kind of employee sought after are the ability to say yes to whatever orders are given without question, to not offer a better solution, to not point out the weaknesses of a strategy or try to improve it, and to not think for yourself. Basically, it seems they just want warm bodies who do what they are told, or “yes” people.
This can be seen in most areas and businesses and goes well with focusing solely on the bottom line of profits without thought to quality, customer service, or whether or not their employees are happy to work there. It led to early retirement for both my friend and I, me from education and her from the medical/scientific industry. It surprised both of us that such different areas shared so many common changes. I retired early from education, because the state and district in which I worked came up with new guidelines that were being implemented and required that did not serve students well, in fact, would hinder their progress. I explained at the campus, district, and state levels why these changes wouldn’t work and what the fallout would be to no avail. I had all kinds of research to back me up, not to mention a specialist degree and nearly thirty years of experience, but they didn’t care. So, I retired, unwilling to participate in something I knew would harm my students. Sure enough, reading scores and public education in general continue to drop in the state of Texas.
My friend worked in a lab where tissue and lab samples were tested and screened for various illnesses and conditions. Like me, she had a stellar reputation, had always received top marks on her evaluations, and was among the best in her field. Then, her company was bought out by another company who didn’t have any knowledge of what she did, whose sole goal was profits. They called her in for a meeting and told her the new expectation was to double her output within the same amount of time. When she tried to explain that some tests required a certain amount of wait time for results and other reasons why this was not a reasonable request, also warning them that rushing procedures would absolutely sacrifice accuracy of results that were sent to doctors and patients, they didn’t care. Like me, she chose to retire, rather than be part of something that, in the end, would cause harm to others. Neither she nor I make very good “yes” people, apparently.
How many times have you stopped doing business with a company, because their products and services have drastically deteriorated? I have to wonder if the CEO’s stick around just long enough to get their bonus checks, then leave before their lack of integrity and short-sightedness catches up with them.
This mindset of “yes” people isn’t limited to business and education, either. I think it’s connected with current politics, also. There’s a major attack on Constitutional rights in this country going on right now, and I think it’s an attempt to force our compliance and acceptance of whatever is being handed to us, to make us become “yes” people and just do what we are told. The federal government is being held in contempt in various courts around the nation, especially in connection with the DHS and their push on immigration. The Constitution protects us from unauthorized search and seizure, and that’s been bypassed. The right to legal representation and due process have also been axed. The checks and balances put into place when the nation was founded are being ignored with more power and autocracy being granted to the President. War has been declared without the agreement of Congress, watchdog departments and institutions who have previously been independent of the government’s control and influence are being compromised and taken over. There has never been such a lack of trust and confidence in the Supreme Court or the Justice Department as there is today.
Separation of Church and State is under attack and being challenged. Personal freedoms, including the right to seek medical intervention for pregnancy and transgender treatments, are being curtailed, taking away the right to make health decisions individually and within families and according to medical guidance and research. Equality in marriage rights is constantly being questioned and threatened. The press is under attack and continues to be threatened. The area that has met the most resistance is Freedom of Speech, but is it really Freedom of Speech that is being targeted, or is it the freedom to think freely for ourselves? Americans are used to being able to not only speak freely but to disagree, but more and more, people who speak freely and disagree with whatever is happening are being attacked literally and figuratively.
First there was the whole cancel culture movement. Now it’s leaning toward intimidation, threats, and legal action for people who refuse to just say “yes” and go along with whatever is happening. Law firms and media networks have been sued for pursuing cases against the President are showing him in a negative light. FBI agents, Federal Reserve representatives, lawyers, district attorneys, and many other people have been attacked for doing their jobs if they were contrary to the President’s agenda. Two people in Minnesota, among others, were killed by federal agents for refusing to comply with what the government was doing, and they were labeled domestic terrorists for standing up for what they believed in. It’s getting more and more dangerous out there, but I think the people behind these abuses and miscarriages of justice have underestimated the American people. We’re not quite ready to become “yes” people to such an extent, at least not all of us, and more and more people are taking exception to this expectation. We’re a lot stronger and smarter than politicians seem to think we are.
I asked the Archangels to comment on this movement by the power people to push through their agendas, whether in government, business, or other areas, and their response follows.
Question: Personal rights and freedoms are under attack. There has been a loss of many of these things, and the people who want to take them away continue to push for more. I see signs of people pushing back now, but I wonder what else we can do to preserve these things. Can you please comment and advise us on how best to navigate this push for “yes” people over free thinkers?
Answer:
The reason you are seeing more and more conflict regarding such issues is because people are finally taking notice of what is going on, and they are not only questioning actions and decisions, but are beginning to refuse and reject them. And yes, the goal is control over and compliance from all people. The rights and freedoms under attack started subtly and slowly, and as they were successfully overtaken, more and more rights and freedoms came under attack in hopes that the momentum would carry through to further relinquishment of power, but the momentum is nearly depleted, and a new momentum is forming having to do with questioning the status quo along with new restrictive practices being pushed, refusal of compliance and acceptance of these things, and a taking back of personal power and sovereignty.
We know these times often feel shocking, threatening, and frightening, but the fact is, those in power know they are losing control of the people and in their panic, they are frantic to regain it and force their agenda. It is not working, and it will continue to fail as more and more people see things clearly, the truth behind the actions and people in question is further revealed, and unity continues to rise. Not only have they underestimated the people, but they are unaware that the energy no longer supports their agendas, their plays for power and control, and their attempts to force others into compliance. They will not win, because the masses will no longer cooperate or surrender to them or their plans and actions and, energetically speaking, their ploys are no longer supported.
The ground that was lost will be regained. Rights and freedoms that have been taken away will be reinstated in the future. Truths will be revealed and the light of truth will shine on those who have perpetuated shocking and unacceptable actions, despite their best efforts to hide it. This has already begun and will continue. In the past, people rarely got involved in fighting against restrictions and practices unless it directly affected them, but this is changing. The universal connection we all share is getting stronger, and people are standing up for each other. Also, whereas conflict, control, separation, anger, and hatred were well supported by the energy of the past, that is no longer the case. Instead, the energy supports love, unity, acceptance, and peace more than ever before in your recorded history.
People are changing. Energy affects everyone. For those who insist on clinging to the past ways of doing things and who want to continue to try to force and control others, they have ceased to feel comfortable doing so, and they will never be at peace as long as they refuse changes that will take place eventually, whether they like them, or not. Many of these people will refuse change until they become adversely affected by practices already being put into motion. When they feel the suffering they have refused to be moved by when others have come under attack, and it begins to affect them personally, most will finally see things more clearly and begin to pursue change through unity. When they are the ones being persecuted or adversely affected, they will become more involved in rejecting attempts to control people by those in power.
You asked what you could do to stop these attacks on freedom and rights, and put simply, we suggest that you stop relinquishing your power. Question everything. Dig deeper for the truth. Do not trust those in power to tell you the truth or to have your best interests in mind, for they do not. When the truth is revealed, do not reject it, even when it is decidedly uncomfortable and disconcerting, even when you do not wish to accept it. Do not hide from it, even when it reveals that some of the choices you have made were based on lies and did not serve you or others well. Do not reject others who have come to regret their choices. Release your anger towards them and find common ground so that you might unite and demand change. Create an inner retreat where you can regain joy, hope, love, and peace often, and know that these times are temporary and necessary in order to create the world you need and deserve. Stop trying to control others and force them to agree with you or do what you want them to do. Allow for independence and individuality, as well acceptance of differences. Focus on improving your own life and leave others to do the same.
Your hard times are not yet over, as those in power are becoming increasingly desperate to maintain their control over you, but know that they will lose these battles for control. They will lose their power and their influence, but they will continue to fight for it, even though they fight a losing battle. You do not have to settle for what they offer you. You do not have to act according to their demands. Unity will defeat them. Not violence, not revolution, not retaliation, not more attempts at control and power over others. Unity is the only answer.
We stand with you and will continue to help you. You are not alone. Things will change, but the timeline is up to you. The sooner you set aside your anger and fear, the sooner you embrace change, the sooner you let go of the need to force others into compliance, and the sooner you make an effort toward unity, the sooner things will improve.
Final Thoughts
I don’t want to be a “yes” person if I disagree with something or know a better way of doing things, which is why the news is so frustrating these days. It’s slanted and full of opinions, with its own agenda, instead of presenting the facts. If someone would just give me the facts, I can make my own conclusions, thank you very much. Instead, I’m constantly searching for the truth and questioning whatever I find. I accept that my opinions, ideas and troubleshooting are not welcome in some circles, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop thinking for myself and just accept whatever is put in front of me. I remember my dad telling me when I was a kid to not let anyone else do my thinking for me, and that advice has served me well my entire life.
Here’s the thing: If you start letting others think for you and accept whatever they tell you without question, there will come a time when you forget how to think for yourself, even when you want to do so. If you allow yourself to be controlled, you forget how to be independent. That’s never a good thing, even if you crave structure and need guidance. There’s a difference between being a team player and following blindly without question. The same can be said for being a patriot.
The intention for Friday Night Meditation with the Archangels for March is Courage, and this is another topic that relates to that. It takes courage to stand up for what you believe and to refuse orders, information, and disregard expectations and demands. If you would like to join us and offer loving energy in combination with our group and the Angels, just call on the Archangels from wherever you are whenever you are available, and they’ll take it from there. We all need courage these days as we weather the storm of change.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend full of joy, hope, love, and peace. Fill up on those things and hang in there.
Blessings, all.
