The Archangels Talk About the Afterlife

Most of us fear death.  Part of that is because it’s an unknown, and part of that is because many have been taught that judgment and punishment await.  I’ve asked the Archangels about souls who get stuck between leaving Earth when their human life ends and returning to what the Angels often refer to as the soul realms.  They tell me that Earth is our temporary home, a place to learn and experience things, and one most of us return to again and again, lifetime after lifetime, in order to learn important lessons and grow spiritually, closer to the Creator.

They also say that crossing back over into our real home is natural and easy, nothing to fear.  In fact, they say it’s a time for celebration for most souls, when we are reunited with loved ones, including pets, our Guides, Angels, and friends, ancestors and relatives.  It’s a homecoming, peaceful and joyous in most cases.  Those who get waylaid or delayed are usually confused or afraid of being judged, condemned and punished, but that never happens.  Sometimes, their Guides call out to them or souls they knew on Earth try to direct them, and sometimes, a medium can persuade and reassure them.  Most don’t have any problem finding their way home.

At some point after they return, there is a life review, which to me sounded a little scary at first, because you look back over your time on Earth, review all of your choices and actions, and see the consequences and the effects of all your decisions.  This is done without judgment, and I’m told that it is quite enlightening, as you not only review the things you consider regrets and mistakes, but you often see good things that happened because of them, also.  When the soul is ready, they usually begin planning their next life with a group of other souls, sometimes called a soul family or pod, and when they’re ready and the time is right in terms of being able to accomplish the goals they set for the next lifetime, they reincarnate in a place and situation of their choosing and go another round.  There’s no rush or pressure, and some souls take a longer break from reincarnation than others.  Souls need to recover from trauma sometimes, just as humans do.

I’m told that all experiences in a lifetime, “good” and “bad,” are appreciated by souls, because they all lead to some kind of spiritual growth, experience, and knowledge.  I’ve also been told that the people who mistreated us during our human lifetimes are also appreciated, as most of them had agreed to play those roles in order for us to learn things.  That’s hard to believe in some cases, but that’s what they say.  There are no enemies in the soul realms, and we often reincarnate with the same souls over and over.  I found out a few years ago that my mother and I switched places in another lifetime; she was my daughter, and I was her mother.  No wonder we were so close!

I asked the Archangels to speak further about life and death in hopes of helping us overcome the fear attached to it.  Their response follows.

Question:  People are afraid to die, because they’re unsure of what happens when life ends.  Can you talk about life, death, and what happens after death, please, including the transition between lives?

Answer:

You’ve provided an accurate overview above, but we will elaborate.  When a soul plans a life, there are usually several exit points during the lifetime when it decides whether or not to stay longer and learn more, or if it would be better to exit at a particular point and begin planning the next life.  It is never a decision made lightly or in anger or fear.  It is more practical in nature.  The soul experiences everything the human experiences during a life, good and bad.  If the soul plan has not been followed due to free will choices, if it would not be particularly helpful or productive to stay longer, spiritually speaking, or if the lessons planned have already been conquered, they might choose to exit, or they might stay longer if they believe more will be accomplished spiritually for them or other souls attached to them.

Crossing back over into the soul realms is easy and very natural.  It is meant to be this way.  The part of the soul that inhabits a human body is recalled and departs from the body.  The body does not continue to live without the soul present.  Once the soul leaves, there is no pain or suffering.  Human life ends, and the soul continues to live, taking with it all human memories, information, and personality traits – everything that made a person who they were – with them.  There is a transition time when the memories attached to the human who just died, join the soul’s memories permanently and vice versa, including the restoration of universal knowledge, when human and soul completely reintegrate with each other.

Once this happens, any fear, uncertainty, and confusion come to an end, and the soul is once more fully restored, complete with the full understanding of how life, death, afterlife, and reincarnation work.  Souls who are delayed due to this lack of understanding have only to traverse the path home to regain it.  Most make the transition with little effort, naturally and instinctively.

Most people do not come with their soul’s knowledge intact, as it would hinder them from learning many lessons they wish to experience.  When a person is living as a human on Earth, part of their soul is within their human body, which is necessary in order for them to live, and the rest remains in the soul realms.  These parts are rejoined, along with the human consciousness that survives death, when the human life comes to an end.

The afterlife is a very busy, productive place, but it is pleasant.  The soul can take some time off from reincarnation, or it can jump right back into planning another lifetime.  It can rest, it can learn, it can prepare and plan, and it can spend time with other souls, Guides, and ascended Masters.  Many people still living believe they never want to return to Earth for another lifetime, if they believe in reincarnation, but almost all change their minds when they return to the soul realms and regain full understanding of how things work.  Most are very pleased with the progress they made and the lessons they learned as humans, because they bring them into closer communion with the Creator, and their progress towards full enlightenment is valued greatly.  Most souls come back wanting to carry on the momentum.

At the risk of contradicting some religious beliefs, we will tell you that no punishment or judgment awaits you when your human life ends.  Each soul judges for itself what progress was made while they were alive on Earth, what lessons were learned, but there is no condemnation involved in the life review.  While some souls feel badly about some things that happened while they lived on Earth, they understand the higher purpose attached to them and are grateful for the experiences they had as humans.

We will add that no rewards are handed out, either, other than the internal gratitude for the knowledge and experiences gained.  There is no placement test or qualification process to determine if you will be accepted in the soul realms, regardless of what kind of life you lived.  You already and always have a place, and you are always loved unconditionally.  The perceived mistakes you made during a human lifetime are not usually repeated in other lifetimes, unless they are attached to a different learning outcome.  Once a lesson is learned, it does not have to be repeated.

There is nothing to fear in death.  Nothing scary awaits you.  There is no darkness, only light.  The soul realms are comfortable, loving places in which to live.  You all like it there, so much so that you are willing to return to Earth again and again in order to learn more, so that you can eventually be in full communion with the Creator and the Masters.  Even then, some of the Masters continue to reincarnate in order to further help mankind and assist other souls gain experiences they need.  Although there is sometimes human suffering attached to the physical body, once the human life ends, the suffering is over, and only good things follow.  Your Guides and loved ones will greet you and celebrate your return, and so will you.

Final Thoughts

I’m truly not afraid of dying, but like most people, I am afraid of suffering before then, especially due to illness of some kind.  Most of the people I’ve lost died of one illness or another, and I wish there was a way to just place an order to die peacefully in my sleep at one of those exit points I’ve heard about.  I don’t spend much time contemplating the end of my life, though.  What would be the point?

In some ways, I kind of look forward to it, not that I’m suicidal or anything, I’m not.  The Archangels told me they’d be waiting for me, “wings and all,” and that is something I look forward to seeing.  In the meantime, I’ll just keep plugging along, trying to do the best I can as I go through life.  Isn’t that what we all do?  If you think about it, we’re all dying.  We were never meant to live forever, and if life on the other side is as nice as what they describe, there’s no reason to fear death.  And what’s the point of swearing you’ll never come back again?  That’s not a decision you need to make right now, anyway, and you have the option to stay or return for another life.  Who knows what we’ll decide once that missing knowledge is recovered?  There’s no need to worry about it right now.

This is the first Friday in October, and in case you haven’t signed up for my newsletter, the new intention for Friday Night Meditation with the Archangels is Renewal.  The Angels think we can all use it, and I tend to agree.  We all get tired and frustrated with everything going on around us in the world, so they’d like us to meditate or pray about renewal and the hope of feeling better and stronger as we move forward.  Everyone is welcome to join us from wherever you are, at whatever time you’re available.  Just call out to the Archangels and think loving thoughts around the idea of renewal for yourself, others, and/or the world.  We’re all in this together.

I hope your weekend is full of joy, hope, love, and peace.

Blessings, all.
