We Need New Ways of Doing Things

The Archangels Talk About Finding Solutions

I generally skirt around politics these days.  During the last presidential election year, I wrote several politically-natured articles, but as I didn’t find those nearly as rewarding as sharing Angel messages, I haven’t done much of that since, and I’m sticking to that. However, these days it’s difficult to ban politics entirely, with so much happening.  Still, this is not an article on controversy or criticism.

After the elections earlier in the week, there’s a lot of buzz about results, and I want to touch on that a bit, not to choose sides or convince anyone of anything, but to hopefully spark new thoughts and ideas.  I’m neither Democrat nor Republican, and I’m not an extremist, although full disclosure, I lean more left in terms of most topics.  Having said that, I’m not particularly impressed with any politicians on either side at the current time.  So, when people began to celebrate regarding the wins the Democrats raked in this week, I was more skeptical than anything else.

I keep hearing predictions about the mid-terms next year and even the next presidential election and how favorable things are looking for the side that lost power last year, and not only do I think it’s way too soon to go there, even if the Dems did take over the presidency, the House, and the Senate again, I don’t have a lot of confidence in what they might do.  I don’t feel like either political side is particularly interested in the masses and what’s best for us.  I think most are more interested in their own power, the interests of who paid to get them their positions, and what’s best for them personally.  In short, as things stand right now, I don’t have a lot of hope that things will get better in a major way, unless things change drastically, from leadership to how that leadership addresses problems.

I asked the Archangels for some commentary regarding future leadership and what it’s going to take to turn things around for the majority of people and for life to improve overall.  Their response follows.

Question:  We are still greatly divided as a nation in the US.  I feel a decrease in hostility and anger, but I don’t see a lot of changes in terms of options opening up for real, sustainable change that helps a lot of people.  Can you please comment on this?

Answer:

We absolutely can comment, and we are pleased for the opportunity, as the options currently available on either or both sides of the political aisle are not likely to work in terms of sustainable solutions to ongoing problems.  What the country and indeed the world needs are new ideas, new people, new actions, and new solutions.  The old systems and ways of doing things have not worked for quite some time, and most cannot be fixed or improved enough to provide what is needed by most people in order to experience a better life.

Consider that both major political parties have taken turns running the nation for decades, yet not much has changed or improved.  The problems that were pressing and most challenging twenty plus years ago have grown worse, not better, and people continue to suffer from those same issues.  Basic needs continue to be lacking, from the affordability and availability of water, food, shelter, medical treatments, education, work, and opportunity, to virtually everything else available or unavailable today.  Neither side has fixed these issues, and they have become worse.  Neither side knows how to fix the current situations, and few care enough to try, unless doing so would increase their own power, influence, and wealth.  Drastic change is needed.

There are people who would be able to solve many of these issues if given the chance and the support they need in order to do so, but they are not yet in positions to do so, because the masses are too busy fighting each other to consider endorsing something or someone new.  There are still many who are so absorbed in their fear and anger, they cannot see beyond it, and until the majority can get past those wasteful, impotent feelings and find the courage to consider something different and new, not much will change, at least in the long-term.  As we have been saying for quite some time, unity is key to change.

Many people get too hung up on labels that sound scary and foreboding.  Words like fascist, communist, socialist, bigot, extremist, far-right, far-left, progressive, conservative, liberal, Muslim, Jewish, nationalist, evangelical, and many more disqualify people before they are even heard, considered, or understood.  People are too quick to believe the rampant lies flying around, as they allow themselves to be controlled and manipulated by those in power, who do not wish them to either think for themselves or consider new ways of doing things, as their positions will become more precarious when the old ways of doing things are replaced.

We would invite you to question everything you hear, to seek the truth, and to think for yourselves when it comes to considering future alternatives.  Just because someone says a person is or isn’t under a certain label does not mean they should be automatically cast aside.  The more strongly you focus on this side or that side of an issue, the more likely it is that you will only have part of the information you need in order to come to a well-informed decision or conclusion, and we tell you now that both sides of the political battles are rife with dishonesty, propaganda and a goal to control you and your actions, rather than to solve your problems.  They do not want you to find the truth.  They do not want you to question them or their agendas and actions, and they do not have your best interests at heart, whether you consider yourself on “their” side or not.

As we said, the way to create change is to unite.  Stop focusing on what you disagree on, and instead focus on what common problems you share.  Stop rejecting the idea of working together, because you have different beliefs and practices, and instead embrace the idea that everyone has value and is worthy of acceptance and consideration.  Stop trying to control others and force them to live like you do, and instead respect that everyone should have the right to decide personal choices for themselves if those choices do not adversely affect others.  Live your life in accordance with your beliefs and ideals, and leave others to do the same.  Stop judging and condemning others in favor of accepting and respecting others’ choices.

When you are able to do these things, you will discover the people and ideas that will lead to promising change that helps most if not all people.  The way to a brighter future is autonomy, equality, and choices, not power and control over others.  Power and control are what brought you to these times of chaos, scarcity, uncertainty, and polarity.  If you want a better country, world, and life, you must respect others’ right to choose for themselves and ensure equal opportunities for all.  When there are enough unity and support for the people who can accomplish the things that will turn your world and lives around, they will come forward, but you must be open to new ideas, people, and change, for the old ways no longer serve you, and that will not change.

Final Thoughts

I’m very unhappy with how the government is running things right now, and clearly, their actions are harming many people and helping very few, but I’m not finding a lot of hope in the idea that Democrats’ chances of taking things over are improving.  Neither side has a very good track record, if you ask me.  I think what we need is something and someone entirely new that isn’t locked into old ways of doing things, but that is looking for innovation and the discovery of new solutions.  Also, it would be nice to focus on what the people needed, the issues we find most challenging.  I don’t have a lot of faith in the people who are currently in charge, that they have the ability, the intelligence, or the determination to make things better for the masses, and I don’t much trust the information currently making the rounds.  I’m certainly not a political analyst, but I don’t think the answers are going to be found in the history of what has been done in the past.  I thing we need something entirely new.  I hope we can find it.

In case you didn’t receive my newsletter, the intention for Friday night meditation for the month of November is Courage, and we all need lots of the stuff!  Courage to open our minds to new things, to change, to new ideas, and new solutions.  Courage to face our own trauma and heal.  Courage to open our hearts and minds to the people we’ve been told are our enemies.  Courage to move forward, rather than try to go backwards.  Courage to questions old and current beliefs, practices, and habits.  Courage to question what we’re told.  If you’re interested and available tonight and every Friday, please join us from wherever you are, at whatever time is convenient, and call on the Archangels to join you and accept some loving energy to disperse wherever it’s needed most.  Courage is rarely easy, but it is needed in order to facilitate change, and I think we can all agree that major changes are needed, and what is currently in place is not working.

I hope you have a courage-filled weekend and find an abundance of joy, hope, love, and peace in your life.

Blessings, all.
