The Archangels Discuss the Dynamics of Life Purpose

Yesterday was an eventful day for me. It was the first video production session for my upcoming course offering, Channeling for Joy, Hope, Love, and Peace. It came about after over a year’s worth of effort designing and writing the course. I put in countless hours, but that was the easy part. I designed curriculum at campus and district levels for years during my nearly thirty years in education, and I know a lot about it, but those efforts were mostly for in-person classes, which are very different from online classes. Still, a lot of strategies and practices transfer with some modification, and a lot of the activities are similar, just not as interactive, which is challenging in itself, because I had to get creative in terms of making it interactive and interesting for the individual student who uses it in the privacy of their own home.
I’m not camera shy. In my youth, I modeled on stage, and I was in beauty pageants. During my career in education, I entered a different kind of stage, in front of a classroom full of students – tough crowd sometimes, let me tell you! I’ve trained thousands of teachers, and I’ve presented at local, district, state, and national conferences, so I’m not a stranger to the spotlight. However, sitting at my desk talking to an imaginary audience was, to say the least, a bit intimidating. You can’t gauge an imaginary audience. You can’t read the room. You can’t adjust as needed. You just have to hope that you’re able to grab and hold onto the attention of whoever decides to take the course. Intimidating! Give me a room full of people any day!
Once I got started, however, it flowed well, and I think I’m going to be happy with the results. It’s kind of funny that the night before, as I was trying to fall asleep in my bed, a new idea for the introduction came to me, which I incorporated at the last minute. It had to do with how different my before-retirement resume looked in comparison to a resume I might create for post-retirement, after I went all woo-woo! And that got me thinking about how my life purpose has changed so much, yet overlaps, as well as how everything I’ve done up to this point has prepared me for this latest chapter of my life along with its purposes.
I was never one to wonder about my purpose in life. I just went along, doing the best I could. The common thread throughout my life’s work has been the desire to help people. Education was a great fit for that, and after I retired, unsure of what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, I knew that whatever I did had to help people. When I began to channel the Archangels and write about their messages, I remember thinking, “Okay, now I know my purpose in life. I’m supposed to channel the Archangels and share their messages with others.” Big, fat, checkmark! And that’s what I did for several years. I didn’t realize that was only one of many purposes my soul had planned for this lifetime, and that as I evolved, so too would my purpose. I’ve come to understand that I have many purposes in life, as we all do.
I’ve also learned that purposes evolve as the person evolves, and the experiences and skills we accumulate throughout our lives, along with our natural gifts and talents, are connected to the many purposes we’re meant to accomplish. I mean, who knew that while I was in the public school and college classrooms, teaching kids and pre-service teachers, training teachers, designing curriculum, presenting at conferences, etc., etc., that these things would pave the way for me to write a course on channeling high Guides? Yet, I can see how each of those things, along with skills I’m naturally good at, prepared me to do just that.
I remember when I thought I’d discovered that my purpose was sharing the Angels’ messages, I felt great, because I loved to channel, and I loved to write. Problem solved happily and easily. I was very willing to do that the rest of my life. Little did I know, that that was just part of my purpose, and it would evolve right along with me. Now I’ve got my own website, I offer spiritual guidance sessions and oracle card readings, I’ll soon have another course offering available, and I’m working on publishing a book later this year. My, how life, along with purpose, continues to evolve!
I asked the Archangels to expand on this idea of life purpose and what all it encompasses, and their response follows.
Question: Most people think there is a purpose for being here. Some know what it is, others have no idea, and still others don’t spend much time contemplating it. What can you tell us about the purpose of life, and is there something we need to do to figure out what our purpose is? Also, if we don’t accomplish our purpose, what happens?
Answer:
These are all very good questions, and for once, the answers are fairly straight forward and should not cause your readers much stress! Let us begin by saying that yes, there are actually many purposes planned for every life, and everyone accomplishes at least some of them. Many accomplish purposes without even identifying what they are or focusing their intentions on them. As humans, most people do not realize all that they have learned, gained, or accomplished during a lifetime until the life ends, and they come home and experience the life review, where they can see how the life compared to the life plan, what goals were accomplished, and what goals were not accomplished, along with how their actions affected themselves and others. There is absolutely no penalty or punishment if a purpose is unrealized. It simply carries over to another lifetime if it is still desired or needed, and when another opportunity arises to accomplish it.
There are different kinds of purposes. Some are for personal, spiritual growth. These are usually tied to lifetime experiences and targeted lessons the soul hopes to gain while living a physical life. Other purposes are attached to service. Part of the agreement when entering an incarnation is a goal that serves either the Earth, the Universe, or mankind in some way. There are many souls who wish to incarnate on Earth, for it is rich with experiences that are available to those who inhabit the planet. Every soul who lives on Earth has a life plan that includes some aspect of service while they inhabit the planet. At this time, everyone living on Earth has a purpose that is in some way connected to The Shift, furthering it in some way.
What our channel has come to realize about life purpose is important. People generally think they have a single purpose in life, and some are frantic to find it. We wish to say first of all, that there are many purposes in your life plan, so it is not simply one thing your life’s goal is connected to do. Second, many times, purposes are not concrete. You may not be able to see them or even recognize them, but they are still significant. For example, a purpose might include inventing a cure for a disease. This is a very concrete example of a goal connected to a life plan. A less concrete goal might be showing compassion to people, and one of the people who learned this concept from you might go on to become a scientist who discovers a cure for a disease who does not even remember you, or you him or her, but the seeds were planted that enabled this person to focus on the compassion he or she learned from you, which led to the goal of finding a cure for people suffering from a disease which they wanted spared from it due to the compassion they feel for them. Even though they are the one who will develop the cure, you are the one who instilled the compassion that drove him to discover it. It is all connected.
So, as you proceed through life, you all affect many people without realizing it, and as you fulfill your own purposes and goals, you help others fulfill theirs. It is a beautiful, interwoven system that most people do not realize they are a part of, and it is tied to the universal connection we all share with each other. On a side note, many of the seemingly adverse experiences in life lead to good things being accomplished, which is why we often suggest that you reserve judgment of others, for many “bad” things that happen – that are happening right now – will eventually lead to “good” things.
The soul plans the life and designates multiple goals and purposes for each lifetime. You all have spiritual teams who guide you throughout your life towards those goals and purposes, however, as human beings, the gift of free will allows you to go your own way at any time. Purposes are not set in stone. Not only do they change if you go in a different direction than the one prescribed in the life plan, but even if you adhere to much of the plan, situations as well as people change, and purposes change along with them. It is very much a “go with the flow” kind of system.
With regard to our channel, she is correct. All of the things a person does throughout life prepares them in various ways for future growth and purpose. Also, if you wish to determine at least some of your purposes, consider your natural talents and gifts. They are almost always tied to your many purposes. The soul does not plan the life, then throw you into the fray unprepared. Gifts are selected for you that will help you achieve the goals within the life plan, and your spiritual team is carefully selected, full of high Guides who will provide resources and guidance as you go through life. They are very experienced and versatile, and again, they go with the flow and provide you with as much help as possible to help you grow. Also, souls usually plan in groups, and the people in your life often play roles in your life that help you and them accomplish purposes and goals in the life plan. Some people follow the timeline planned for the lifetime, while others accomplish things more slowly or more quickly. These days, due to The Shift, various things have greatly accelerated for many, including the evolution of souls and people, so adjustments are constantly being made to ensure as much growth as possible during the lifetime. These adjustments to the life plan include taking things out, putting things in, and making changes as needed. Sometimes more Guides are brought in, and other times more people are guided towards you who can act as resources to further your plans. If most of the goals of the life plan have been accomplished, but there is still time left to live, the soul and those it contracts will continue to add to the agenda, so that as much as possible can be gained.
We will end by saying that there is no need to worry about whether or not you know or have accomplished your purposes in life. Without a doubt, you will accomplish much in this lifetime, even though you may not recognize this, because so much of your purpose is abstract, rather than concrete, and it follows a spiritual, rather than a human, criteria of accomplishment. Nothing you do is insignificant, and nothing you do is considered “bad” or a mistake from a spiritual standpoint, because everything you experience leads to growth of some kind, if not for you, then for someone else.
You do not have to seek your purpose, as it will find you when the time is right. Our channel thought initially that she had somehow missed the signs or “dropped the ball,” since she did not begin to channel us until later in life, but things happened when they were supposed to happen, and yes, everything she learned up to that point prepared her for the things she is doing right now. You cannot imagine how interconnected everything and everyone truly is. You are all evolving, and you will continue to accomplish many things in this lifetime, many of which you will remain unaware or might consider insignificant, when in fact, you are doing your part to further yourself and others. We are in awe of you and very grateful for everything you do.
Final Thoughts
So, the good news is, we don’t have to worry about our purpose, because there are many, and we will invariable accomplish many of them, whether we seek them out, or not. Also, there is no penalty if we don’t accomplish everything our soul set out for us to do. Not only are we accomplishing our own purposes with the help of our soul and Guides, but we help others accomplish theirs, too, often without knowing it. The bad news is – if it is bad news, and it’s really not – we’re never going to be finished with purposes as long as we’re alive. I see this in my terminally ill mother-in-law, who wonders why she’s still here at 96 years of age, living with terminal cancer. She doesn’t think she’s accomplishing much within her frail body, but I can say without a single doubt, and I tell her often, that she is teaching us many important things and serves as an inspiration for many. So, it’s not necessarily that we’re going to have to consciously work on things until we drop; instead, we will continue to grow and to help others grow as long as we’re here, sometimes in concrete ways, and sometimes in quiet, more abstract ways, many of which we and others are unaware. That’s pretty cool.
Today is the last Friday in March, and the intention for Friday Night Meditation is Courage. With everything going on, we can all use some courage, right? I think this article is a reminder that everything happening right now serves some kind of higher purpose, and even the people who aggravate us are contributing to that purpose in ways we may never know. Let’s remember we’re all in this together, and one way or another, we’ll get through it. Hang in there. If you’d like to join the meditation, simply call out to the Archangels and offer loving thoughts and energy regarding courage to all who need it, and they will distribute the energy where it’s needed the most. There will be a new intention for April that will be announced in my monthly newsletter which will come out next Friday.
I hope you have a fantastic weekend full of joy, hope, love, and peace.
Blessings, all.
